Wednesday, July 11th, 2007The rating system mentioned in our last post is based upon speciifc criteria the equates ultimately to a standard measuring stick upon which buildings can be judged and/or assesed and/or rated. Some of the key measuring points are as follows:
- Energy & Atomesphere - judges the energy efficiency and effects on the indoor and exterior atmosphere
- Indoor Environment Quality - refers to the quality of the atmosphere throughout the actual working space
- Innovation & Design - the actual flow of both the interior leaseholds and exterior space employed in the construction
- Materials & Resources - judges the actual materials used in the construction of the permises
- Water Efficiency - critiques the quality and amount of water distributed and used throughout the premises for both potable (drinking water) and non-potable uses
- Sustainable Sites - effectively judges the likely long-term effects (positive & negative) of the property and/or building
